BE YOU (TI FUL): SELF-CARE ROUNTINE: FACE, HAIR TIPS FOR A HEALTHY HAIR AND SKIN!!

Tips for healthy hair and skin:

1)Get to know your skin type
Understanding and getting to know your skin type is the most important thing you can do for your skin. If you’re unaware or misinformed, you could compromise your skin’s natural balance and trigger irritation, inflammation, breakouts, and even premature aging by using the wrong products. The most common skin types are oily, acne-prone, dry, sensitive, and mature skin; it’s also important to note that you can be more than one type and it can change over time or through the seasons, so always listen to your skin.

2)Choose your face wash smartly, go for cleansers
Use an appropriate face wash meant for your skin type and wash twice a day.
Use cleansers at night to remove make-up and dirt before using a face wash.

3)Vitamin C is the ultimate glow-getter
Vitamin C is one of the strongest Moisture is everything
Antioxidants on the shelves, which means it helps to protect your skin from environmental stressors that can accelerate aging. Plus, it’s even been shown to promote and encourage elastin and collagen syntheses, so combined with its ability to banish dull skin, it’s completely transformative. When it comes to your skin, hydration is everything. Even if you have oily skin, you need to keep your skin hydrated; otherwise, it’ll produce more oil in an attempt to compensate.

4)Treat your skin gently
Daily cleansing and shaving can take a toll on your skin. To keep it gentle:
• Limit bath time. Hot water and long showers or baths remove oils from your skin. Limit your bath or shower time, and use warm — rather than hot — water.
• Avoid strong soaps. Strong soaps and detergents can strip oil from your skin. Instead, choose mild cleansers.
• Shave carefully. To protect and lubricate your skin, apply shaving cream, lotion or gel before shaving. For the closest shave, use a clean, sharp razor. Shave in the direction the hair grows, not against it.
• Pat dry. After washing or bathing, gently pat or blot your skin dry with a towel so that some moisture remains on your skin.
• Moisturize dry skin. If your skin is dry, use a moisturizer that fits your skin type. For daily use, consider a moisturizer that contains SPF

5)Dealing with under eye bags
Take used chamomile tea bags and store them in the freezer. Grate half a cucumber and massage around eye area and then lie down with the tea bags on your eyes for 10 minutes. You will find an instant difference in the way your eyes look and feel.

6)Hair care
•Get to the roots
If you’ve noticed your hair getting scanty, or too many strands in the shower drain, our hair care tip would be to check for underlying medical conditions. Scanty hair might be an indicator of problems such as thyroid and anemia.
Always use a conditioner after you shampoo your hair. It protects your hair and is a better option than oil. Conditioners neutralise electrical charge in the hair shaft and help in detangling. Conditioners also improve shine and to some extent repair minor frays in the hair shaft. Conditioning agents like hydrolized protein or silicons are added to increase manageability and shine in the hair.
•Regular scalp massage
Listen to your grandmother’s words of wisdom when it comes to hair care routines.Oil massages nourish the hair follicles where growth begins, increase blood circulation and help in plumping up fine and scanty hair. We suggest relying on the Indulekha Bringha Oil. This one’s known for its medicinal properties that reduce hair fall and regenerate hair growth. Like that’s not enough, this oil bottle comes with a ‘selfie comb’ that dispenses the medicinal oil directly on your scalp thereby reaching your hair roots and promoting hair growth.
•Towel-dry with care
When dealing with scanty hair, an important hair care tip is to be as gentle as possible. Instead of vigorously rubbing your hair, dab the towel onto your hair and then allow it to dry. Make sure you use a water absorbing microfiber towel while doing so.
•Use the right hair cleanser
An effective shampoo targeted towards scanty hair, preferably something that will boost volume into your hair is the ideal solution to your hair problems. If you ask us, every time we feel our hair needs that voluminous feel, go for Rejuvenated Shampoo and Conditioner. This range contains a series of essentials nutrients that will revitalise your tresses and make them voluminous and healthy.
•Switch styles
You don’t need to wait for an occasion to don a new do. Our hair care tip would be that you try experimenting with shorter, layered hairstyles that make your hair appear voluminous and thick.
•Ease off the comb
Despite the temptation, combing scanty hair is a bad idea. This is because it can make your hair appear limper than it already is. Your fingers are the way to go rather than your round brush or comb.
•Play it cool
Using too many heat styling tools? They could totally be the cause of your hair turning dry and brittle. An easy solution and effective hair care tip would be to air dry your hair more often. If in a rush, be sure you use a lower temperature setting on your dryer, or use a heat protectant that will save your tresses from damage.

7)Eat a healthy diet and Manage stress
Protein is another important factor behind good hair so make sure you increase your intake of eggs, nuts, whole grain and low-fat dairy products.
A healthy diet can help you look and feel your best. Eat plenty of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean proteins. The association between diet and acne isn’t clear — but some research suggests that a diet rich in fish oil or fish oil supplements and low in unhealthy fats and processed or refined carbohydrates might promote younger looking skin. Drinking plenty of water helps keep your skin hydrated. Uncontrolled stress can make your skin more sensitive and trigger acne breakouts and other skin problems. To encourage healthy skin — and a healthy state of mind — take steps to manage your stress. Get enough sleep, set reasonable limits, scale back your to-do list and make time to do the things you enjoy. The results might be more dramatic than you expect.

FACE THE COLOR:PART 2: THE OCCASIONAL MAKEUP LOOK!!

Have you ever wondered which type of makeup suits your look??Makeup tips that will make you look cute, sexy and irresistible!!

Step One:

No matter what your skin type is, always moisturize. Moisturization helps create a smooth base for your makeup also it works to replenish the water content of the skin either by trapping moisture in the topmost layer of the skin or replenishing its water content to some degree. After moisturization start applying primer. Primer creates a smooth base for your makeup. It works to fill in pores, absorb excess oil and even out your skin texture so your foundation goes on smoother, appears more natural and lasts much longer.

Step Two:

Once you have applied a moisturizer and a primer just apply a little bit of foundation on your face. Here comes the question, which foundation matches my skin? how to apply it? LADIES PLEASE PICK A FOUNDATION THAT SUITS YOUR SKIN TYPE AND MAKE SURE TO MATCH IT WITH YOUR NECK NOT FACE!!! Then, Use the foundation to even out your complexion only, concealers and correctors to hide any other imperfections. In order to even out your skin tone, look for a medium-coverage formula, the “semi-matte” or “satin” finish then match your shade then put it all over your face then look at it under different lighting, the best lighting is the sunlights most accurate!!! Use your sponge, damp it with water, first so it works, then put a few drops of foundation over your forehead, cheeks, and chin with your finger. Then tap the sponge over the dots, blending the foundation out toward your hairline and jaw to diffuse the color and keep tapping under your chin and jaw to blend the foundation’s edges. Foundations are not designed to cover zits, if they’re visible after you’re done blending don’t worry just dab CONCEALOR over that area, then wait a few minutes to set it up, then blend the concealer in with your sponge. REMEMBER: CONCEALERS AND CORRECTORS SHOULD ONLY BE USED ON SPECIFIC AREAS THAT NEED THEM AND NOT ALL OVER YOUR FACE.

Step Three:

If you desire to use powder based products in the next steps, apply a finishing powder on the areas that tend to get extra shiny and oily, like your T-zone(the central part of a person’s face, including the forehead, nose, and chin, especially as having oilier skin than the rest of the face.) In case you accidentally apply too much powder and look a little chalky, spritz your skin with a fixing spray to melt the powder into your skin for a natural finish. Start by applying an eye shadow primer all over your lid. Give it a couple of minutes to settle in and then start marking off with your eye makeup. TIP: USE LIGHTER SHADES BECAUSE IT EILL HIGHLIGHT PARTS OF YOUR EYE SUCH AS, THE BROW BONE, THE INNER CORNERS,ETC… THE DARKER SHADES WILL HELP PUSH BACK THE AREAS THAT YOU NEED TO MAKE THEM APPEAR DEEPER LIKE THE CREASE. It’s really important to finish it off with an eyeliner it takes your eye to the “next level”.

Step Four:

Apply highlight, blush and contouring as with eye shadows, then apply highlighters to areas where light would hit your face and bring out the area forward. Then contour around to push back the areas of your face that needs a little shaping like the hollow of your cheeks, your foreheads and underneath your jaw line. Lastly, blush your cheeks on as a finishing color to your entire makeup look and apply the “lip blam” it creates a good lip base!!! Use a lipliner or same shade of lipstick that you are going to apply, to line the lips. TIP: IN ORDER TO MAKE YOUR LIPS APPEAR BIGGER, APPLY THE LIP LINER A TINY BIT OUTSIDE YOUR LIPS. Next, apply your favorite lipstick shade depending on what you are wearing and lip glosses are optional, depending on the type of lip finish you prefer. TIP: IN ORDER TO MAKE YOUR LIPS APPEAR FULLER, APPLY LIP GLOSSES ONLY AT THE CENTER OF THE LIPS.

Finally, REMEMBER THAT YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL NO MATTER WHAT YOU WEAR!!! DO NOT OVER MAKEUP TO LOOK ATTRACTIVE JUST BE YOURSELF!!! I USUALLY DEPEND ON MY LIPSTICK COLOR FOR SPECIAL OCCASIONS.

Face The Color:Part 1:The Casual Makeup Look!!

Have you ever wondered which type of makeup suits your look??Makeup tips that will make you look cute, sexy and irresistible!!

It’s the “no makeup, makeup look” is an art and definitely a technique that every girl should know!!

Step one create a good base:

Usually you have to start by applying a facial lotion or a light moisturizer but If you have naturally good skin, you can skip this step and only apply the primer, honestly I don’t need it so I start by applying facial premiere across my face evenly, then apply my foundation and blend them together plus apply concealer under my eyes I personally use a contouring kit,do a mix of shadings(corrector kit I apply concealer  and highlight ) then use a sponge to brush them it gives my face a natural look !!

Step two as for my eyes I apply  nude eyeshadow a tan color across the lid of my eye, making sure to go from the base of the eye to the brow-bone.

Then rub a darker brown shade of eye shadow across the crease of my eye to define it!! (You can use  brown, bright pink, champagne, purple or peach) then frame my eyes by using my mascara!!

AVOID EYE-LINER DURING THE DAY IT CAN LOOK A BIT AGGRESSIVE AND RUIN YOUR NATURAL LOOK!!

The last step I do is brushing my cheeks using my nude-rose blush i start by smiling; the fullest because by doing this act I will be applying the blush on the apple of my cheeks, run my blush brush up it, towards my temples. Then I’ll use a cotton swab to blend the color in and finish it up by applying nude lipstick by using the lip brush or tube to apply the lip color directly to my lips and I’m done!!

This can suits anything you’re wearing and any hair style!! REMEMBER YOU’RE BEAUTIFUL EITHER WAY IF YOU DON’T FEEL LIKE PUTTING MAKEUP JUST PUT FOUNDATION ITS ENOUGH!!

Your Body Your Life: Best Colors To Wear To Make You Look Slim!!

Color to wear in order to look slim and elegant, darker shades such as black, dark blue, purple and brown can also help to hide flaws and create a slimming illusion.

Colors to Avoid:

Off white: This type of color is notorious in adding a few extra pounds further to your image, so please avoid it.

White blouse: If you have a large breast, do not wear a white blouse that would only accentuate the feature you wish to camouflage.

Bright colors: If you want to hide your tummy and large chest, then avoid wearing bright-colors.

If you aim to conceal your bottom and legs or a wide hip, try avoiding wearing bright-colored pants.

Wear bright colored outfits on places on where you want to flaunt your assets and similar for your accessories choices too.

Let me give some styling advice ladies:

1)Add layers !!

Layers gives your body definition.

2)High-waist jeans!!

They tuck in most of the flab and do a great job of making you look slender, tall, and slim!!

3)Pick the right bra!!

It is the base for everything you will build over.

Do not wear a sloppy bra that add more attention to your muffin tops.

Wear a bra that gives you full coverage, without bulges!!

4)Accessories!!

Wear a necklace, earrings, scarf, bandana, watch, etc.

It steers the attention away from anything unflattering.

Consider belts that are dark and massive or svelte and that cinch at the waist in case you’re wearing a shape wear!!

5)Patterns and prints

Patterns like A-line cut or a pencil skirt can seal the deal for you.

Vertical print dresses with deep necks are your go-to if you want to look slimmer and taller.

6)Matching separates!!

Instead of wearing matching sets, match your separates. Especially colors like black, blue, gray or anything dark.

7)Proportions!!

Wearing a loose shirt or a top with fitted trousers works toward your advantage.

AVOID body hugging clothes!!

It’s important to have the right posture.

The Simpler The Better: Styling Part 2:What To Wear For Every Occasion.

The Dress Codes:

An easy guide to dress codes for every occasion:

If you’re invited to a wedding always keep in mind to steer clear of the white dresses in weddings as the color white is just for the bride; Put on the best gowns you have.

It is floor-length gowns for weddings but the etiquette rules are softening, knee-length dress is equally fine also accessorize according to the mood of the event.

As for makeup and hairstyle try not look over also respect your dress type and always do your makeup according to your dress color!!

A cocktail party is largely an informal social gathering where you dress almost-formally, dressy-casual, so evening dresses are one of the good choices you can wear.

You can’t go wrong if you wear a top with some special details and a skirt or tailored pants, a dress plus heels or fancy flats, the “Black color” has the evening vibe of the cocktail parties but also any dark color would do as long as you keep it inconspicuous.

It’s acceptable if your dress is a little above your knee but you should always keep in mind that there’s a thin line between being sexy and being vulgar. AVOID FABRICS THAT ARE TOO CASUAL!!

As for makeup and hair style give it a simple overall don’t put too much of glittery try to look natural and make your hairstyle according to what your wearing!!

If you’re invited to a dinner party it  is preferably to don’t overdress.

The best way to find out if you’re in for a denim-welcome get-together or a more buttoned-up, skirt-and-blouse affair is to ask your host.

If it’s a festive event, dress up like you are there to celebrate, little glitz and color won’t hurt.

If it’s a cocktail just wear something semi formal like a  little black dress, a jacket and heels.

Also you can Stash dangly earrings or a pretty scarf in your bag to dress up an outfit if needed.

As for your hair style and make up here it depends on the theme of the dinner if it’s festive then add some glittery to your makeup and make your hair kind of crazy but if it’s a cocktail just look simple hair and makeup!!

Find ways to change up the accessories to keep your go-to look seasonal and fresh. Add a belt  or jacket you can layer your look with.

3. Embrace Accessories

casual style accessories can be practical. SUCH AS:

A purse

A necklace

A nice watch

Sunglasses

Belts

Earrings

4. Add Color, how to mix, match colors and avoid combining these colors

How To Know What Colors To Match?

Using the right colors and matching them perfectly can be a deal maker. Choosing the perfect color for an outfit is what sets you apart. And, that’s why color and its theories continue to be the pivot for not just clothes, but everything else like interiors, hair, makeup, and much more.

Primary Colors

These comprise red, yellow, and blue. No two colors can be mixed to achieve these shades. Everything else is derived from these colors.

Secondary Colors

Secondary colors are a combination of the primary colors. So, red+yellow = orange, red +blue = purple, and blue+yellow = green.

Tertiary Colors

These colors are a combination of primary and secondary colors. By mixing these colors, you get shades like mint, aqua colors, corals, etc.

Neutral Colors

Neutral colors are self-explanatory, they are just muted, plain, and subdued. Black, grey, whites, off-whites, taupe, etc., fall into the neutral category. Contrast is key, light top, dark bottom, light shoes. Dark top, light bottom, dark shoes. You want a good amount of contrast among the three.

Avoid tops that are too close to your skin tone. It makes you appear pale and washed out.

Choose new colors in order to lighten up your outfits the easiest way to spice up your look . Stay away from tonal outfits (all three pieces being the same color, or close in value). It’s a more advanced style concept which we’ll cover in a different article. The easiest way to give yourself a pop of color is to swipe it across your lips! If you’re looking for a semi-permanent solution, consider painting your nails a fun color.

Fashion allows us to combine colors , but there are others  that should never be together:

color wheel

Brown and black. Gray and Brown. Blue and black. Red and Green. Green and pink. Green and orange. Purple and Yellow. Red and Orange.
